ShopBIPOC utilized Working Within’s Revenue Retainer Package to elevate its fundraising operations through strategic innovation and collaboration. ShopBIPOC's mission is to empower BIPOC entrepreneurs by increasing their visibility, providing resources, and fostering a supportive business ecosystem that drives economic equity and community development in Colorado. ShopBIPOC envisions a thriving, inclusive economy in Colorado where BIPOC-owned businesses are fully supported, celebrated, and able to grow and sustain themselves, contributing to the overall economic health and diversity of the region.

To address the challenges faced by ShopBIPOC, Working Within implemented a multi-faceted approach. This included creating a comprehensive fundraising plan with grant writing support and tracking mechanisms to enhance long-term fundraising sustainability.

 

Working Within supported ShopBIPOC in gaining clarity on their objectives for the coming year and identifying key fundraising priorities to ensure long-term impact and sustainability.

 

We engaged with over 80 ShopBIPOC business owners through surveys to gain deeper insights into their experiences and needs, relaying this information to the ShopBIPOC governance team to help shape their goals for the upcoming year.

 

Additionally, we developed a targeted sponsor engagement strategy by designing a new sponsorship package and conducting personalized one-on-one sponsor meetings.
