Charlyn Moss, Founder and CEO of Working Within, has been chosen as one of the eight members of the inaugural cohort of the PLACE Builders Fellowship. Through intensive training, peer support, and community pilots over the next three months, Charlyn and her fellow cohort members will empower changemakers to catalyze more equitable entrepreneurial ecosystems, reflecting the legacy of the late Pava LaPere.

Meet Colorado’s rising entrepreneurs and innovators 25 and under. “When I reflect on what it’s taken to get to this milestone at a young age, it’s involved a lot of risk and a lot of sacrifice,” Moss said. “I’ve had to get very comfortable with being ... the youngest and to not let that deter me. I’ve had to learn to be assertive, confident and serious. And that focus has allowed me to build a business that can bless and provide for others. It’s extremely fulfilling.”

"We have a responsibility as lawmakers to investigate and understand the wrongs of the past, to study historic and ongoing racial discrimination in our state, and to shed light on a path for the future," Sen. James Coleman said during a news conference announcing the proposal, that Charlyn attended.

Working Within will use this capital to partner with and sponsor the historic Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy and the Traillionaires Foundation to host an Fall Fest: Careers and Community event.
